WordPerfect 5.0 for OS/2
Released in 1990 by WordPerfect Corp
For OS/2 1.x

During the late 1980's, WordPerfect was THE standard word processor
for DOS based PCs in big business. Under DOS, it competed mostly
against Wordstar. WordPerfect for Windows enjoyed some success in the
early Windows environments, but was quickly displaced by Microsoft
Word for Windows. Later Windows versions were part of Borland
Office/Novell PerfectOffice/Corel Office/Corel WordPerfect Office.

WordPerfect 5.0 for OS/2 is a text-based application, not a GUI
Presentation Manager application, and operates just like the DOS
version. Unlike the DOS version, it can work with larger document
files, and run multiple instances at once. Graphics preview only work
in full screen sessions, not text windows. Unfortunatly, this was at
a time when WYSIWYG GUI word processing was becoming very important.

Requires 2MB RAM for OS/2 1.0, 3MB RAM for OS/2 1.1.
